In a landmark achievement in 2025, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital proudly became the first Academic Medical Centre in India to achieve Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation. Infrastructure and Facilities

Spanning a sprawling 45-acre campus, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital provides a serene and healing environment. It is NABH-NABL accredited and is the largest private hospital in the state with a capacity of 1450 beds. Organ Transplantation Excellence

MGH is a pioneer in organ transplantation, having performed the first heart, liver, pancreas, and cadaveric kidney transplants in the state. The hospital's renal transplantation team conducts nearly two transplants per day, including advanced techniques such as 2-way and 3-way swap transplants and ABO-incompatible renal transplants.

With over 2100 transplants performed to date, MGH leads the way in transplant procedures. The hospital has also established a successful Live Related Donor Liver Transplant Program, performing approximately 4-5 liver transplants monthly with excellent outcomes. This achievement is credited to the hospital's dedicated digestive sciences team, encompassing HPB Surgery, Hepatology, GI Surgery, and Medical Gastroenterology.

Oncology and Super-Specialty Services

The Sri Ram Cancer and Super Specialty Centre at MGH is the largest multi-disciplinary oncology setup in the state, equipped with nearly 400 beds.
