The department of urology at the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur offers the best facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of genitourinary problems in adults and children. The state-of-the-art technology and equipment are available in our department and a highly experienced team of qualified urologists is available round the clock.
The faculty subspecializes in various fields including kidney transplantation, endourology, laparoscopic urology, reconstructive urology, uro-oncology, andrology, neuro-urology, female and pediatric urology.
We have three dedicated modular urology operation theatre and 30 bedded general urology ward with additional private ward and suites.
We also run 3 years MCh urology training program at our department with intake of six candidates per annum.

Our team has a multidisciplinary approach to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various stone diseases. We provide comprehensive patient care for both OPD as well as admitted patients. Our team uses various methods such as conservative medical stone expulsion therapy, URSL, RIRS, PCNL, ESWL and Holmium Laser Lithotripsy.
Our team provides best-in-class patient care for sexual dysfunction like erectile dysfunctions, premature ejaculation and male infertility including management of varicocele, Testicular biopsy and male sterilization like Vasectomy.
Our department offers a wide range of advanced open, laparoscopic and robotic surgical approaches for treatment of tumors of Kidney, Adrenal gland, Ureter, Bladder, Prostate, Penis and Testicular Cancer.
Our experts are focused to offer specialty care for evaluation, diagnose and management of wide range of congenital (by birth) anomalies like Hypospadias & Epispadias Repair, Bladder Exstrophy Repair, Undescended Testis, Ureteric Reimplantation, Pyeloplasty, PUV Fulguration .
Through our technical expertise, we are performing cadaveric and living donor kidney transplants including swap kidney transplants. Our center is performing one of the highest numbers of kidney transplants in India. We have performed 2300+ kidney transplants at our center till date. We have a dedicated and highly advanced modular transplant OT and a dedicated kidney transplant ICU. We help donors to donate one of their kidneys to their loved ones without much pain and discomfort by performing surgery with laparoscopy and giving them minimal scar and discomfort which enables speedy recovery of the patient.
Focus is on diagnosis and treatment of neurogenic disorders of the genitourinary system. Urodynamic studies are available on OPD basis.
Our team of expert robotic surgeons utilizes cutting edge robotic technology to provide minimally invasive solutions for various complex surgeries like- Nephrectomy, Adrenalectomy, Pyeloplasty, Pyelolithotomy, Uretero-Lithotomy, Radical Prostatectomy, Vesicovaginal Fistula Repair.
A multimodality approach is applied to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various general urological conditions like UTI, prostate and bladder related disorders at general urology clinic. We also do minor day care procedure like circumcision, cystoscopy at office basis. These services are for both OPD as well as admitted patients.

Urology is a medical specialty concerned with conditions and diseases of the genital and urinary tract in men, women and children.
Urologists also diagnose and treat disorders of the male reproductive system.

More frequent urination or waking up at night to go to the bathroom may signal a health problem or simply that you're drinking too much before or at bedtime.
The best way to avoid urological problems is to maintain good overall health habits, including exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding tobacco, excessive alcohol and caffeine and adequate fluid intake.
Common Predisposing risks factors Include diabetes, Kidney stones etc.
There are many conditions that could result in painful urination. An infection of the urinary tract or prostate is a common cause, along with obstructions in the urethra, kidney, bladder, or prostate, Stone diseases.
Common urology problems include urinary tract infections, urine incontinence or difficulty in emptying your bladder, kidney stones, an enlarged prostate, erectile dysfunction (inability to achieve an erection), etc.
