Dr. Rahul Nayyar is a seasoned healthcare administrator and medical professional with over 17 years of diverse experience spanning clinical care, hospital administration, and strategic leadership. An alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, he holds an MD in Hospital Administration and has served extensively in the Armed Forces Medical Services before transitioning to the private healthcare sector. Currently, he is serving as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur.
Dr. Nayyar has demonstrated strong expertise in hospital operations, quality assurance, accreditation processes and healthcare compliance.
During his tenure with the Indian Army, he held key leadership roles including Command Project Officer (Joint Medical Director), where he spearheaded multiple hospital projects, procurement systems, and supply chain operations across the South Western Command. He was instrumental in implementing National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) across military hospitals, enhancing healthcare delivery and compliance frameworks.
Dr. Nayyar also played a crucial administrative role during the COVID-19 pandemic, managing operations of a 1000-beded tertiary care hospital in Pune. His field experience includes serving in extreme conditions such as Siachen and the Line of Actual Control, where he managed critical care and emergency medical services under challenging circumstances.
With a strong blend of operational acumen, policy-level insight, and clinical understanding, Dr. Nayyar continues to contribute significantly to advancing healthcare systems and quality standards in India.
